This site is a tribute to Karen. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

Funny, loving, tenacious with a wicked sense of humour sums up Karen!

Karen suffered with kidney disease  from the tender age of 7 years. By the age of 11 years she had received her first kidney transplant followed by a second  at 16 years old.  

Karen always remained positive and when her second transplant failed  she started  dialysis; with many years on peritoneal dialysis and the last 20 years on haemodialysis three times weekly.

Help us to help others in memory of Karen Joy Hastings.
